Wax Audio Mashography
Wax Audio has released a trilogy of politically themed EPs - WMD ...and other distractions (2004), Mediacracy (2005) and Cut, Paste and Run (2007). All are available for free download below. Also available is CMYK (2005 - an album of original instrumental tracks) and Mashopolos (2007 - a collection of mashup/bootleg/bastard-pop tunes). Mashopolos II - The Mashening (2008) is presently in production with tracks being made available as they're completed.

9 Countries is a mashup / sound-collage / ambient / documentary album using nothing but the archive of field recordings Tom made throughout 2005/06 whilst on a 15 month overland journey through Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Tibet, India and Greece. Presently in production, 9 Countries is due for release in 2009.

These not-for-profit works (mashups, bootlegs, bastard-pop tracks etc) were created as non-substitutable, non-commercial derivatives of recognised recorded works. They do not compete with the market for the original material, nor do they undermine, defame or otherwise harm the original artists. Contrarily they promote each artist's commercial work by further validating their iconic status in popular culture.
And they're kinda funny...
