Wax Audio presents... Cut, Paste and Run
Wax Audio is back! After causing a global stir with Imagine This in 2005 whereupon the world heard George W Bush getting sentimental with John Lennon's Imagine, Wax Audio has returned to the mashed up political arena to deliver one more sonic diatribe: Cut, Paste and Run.
Wax Audio's Mashed Media EP trilogy began with WMD ...and other distractions (2004) and continued with MEDIACRACY (2005). This third and final installment features seven brand new politically charged tracks crammed with juicy sound bytes from a typically familiar and obscure selection of politicians, pundits, public citizens, rockers & rappers from Cronulla to Harlem, Tehran to Tel Aviv and Washington to Baghdad.
Cut, Paste and Run brings you songs and sounds of love and hate, peace and war - and of course, bitter-sweet irony in the form of a special encore performance from Commander in Chief George W Bush as he passionately recites two more John Lennon classics!

 | | 01. WAR (1:55) - DOWNLOAD MP3 (320kbps 4.5MB)
The dramatically orchestrated news themes of CBS, ABC and NBC accompany George W Bush, Edwin Star and a bit of Carmina Burana thrown in for good measure. George W(orld War III) Bush is bang on message here, don't mis-underestimate the man. "We wage a war to defend civilisation itself". Go Dubya!

 | | 02. YOU BETTER RUN, YOU BETTER TAKE COVER (4:09) - DOWNLOAD MP3 (320kbps 9.4MB)
We're not racist in Australia BUT... when we gather in drunken mobs of 5000 to bash "lebs and wogs" in "defence" of our beaches it's OK for Alan Jones (Sydney's number one shock-jock) to spur them on - especially when the country's top politicians back him up. The message to these "middle eastern grubs" is simple: "I come from the land down under, you better run, you better take cover".

 | | 03. WIPED OFF THE MAP (4:52) - DOWNLOAD MP3 (320kbps 11.1MB)
On October 26th, 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad quoted the late Ayatollah Khomeini's statement: "this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time", a comment that was immediately seized upon by the western media and wrongly translated as "Israel should be wiped off the map". Before long the story became everything from Iran is "the most dangerous country in the world " to "Ahmadinejad is the worst tyrant since Hitler " who plans to "kill every Jew in the Middle East" and "wipe Israel ...and frankly the United States off the map". And if all that ain't enough to get you behind Bush's plans to start yet another war, it seems that all this was prophesised in Ezekiel: 38 - "raining upon the enemies of Israel the fire and brimstone from Heaven".
News to you? Tune in and see what you've been missing . The track closes with the lonely voice of George Galloway MP, setting the record straight. Read more here.

Hanoi Hannah (an eerily appropriate voice from the past) sets the stage for Guerrilla Hip Hop MC Immortal Technique, who tells it how he sees it in his track "The 4th Branch" with a bit of help from Led Zeppelin, Dead Can Dance, Peter Gabriel's "Music from The Last Temptation of Christ", some Darabukkas and a Thuvan throat singer.

 | | 05. HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER) (4:19) - DOWNLOAD MP3 (320kbps 10MB)
Happy Xmas (War Is Over) : Written by John Lennon, performed by George W Bush. And so this is Christmas, and what have we done? To Iraq? Killed its citizens by the hundreds of thousands, turned its streets into gruesome front line battle grounds in a civil war, installed a "democratic" regime comprised of rival warlord gangs, created yet another breeding ground for terrorists and made the world a far more dangerous place. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, Let's make it a good one, Without any fear.

 | | 06. GOD (4:10) DOWNLOAD MP3 (320kbps 9.6MB)
God : Written by John Lennon, performed by George W Bush. With Imagine This, GWB at last captured the hearts and minds of the public with his sentimental rendition of the John Lennon peace anthem. This time, he turns his focus inwards with a more personal interpretation of a Lennon classic. In this, his most cathartic moment in public life, the President - in the twilight of his time in office - tells us what he really believes.
